When speaking with the editor recently about evolving interior trends, the founders of Crafted shared their thoughts on the rise—and potential fall—of bouclé. “It’s a beautiful texture, no doubt,” they said, “but we’re seeing more clients wanting something that feels unique to them.” While bouclé’s soft, cocooning aesthetic made it an instant hit, its ubiquity has started to dilute its charm. “It’s been everywhere, from Pinterest to display homes, and that saturation is prompting people to look elsewhere,” they explained. In its place, the team at Crafted is noticing a renewed appetite for more enduring materials—textured linens, rich velvets, and tactile weaves that offer character without feeling overdone. “We’re moving into a period where individuality matters more than ever. People want furniture that reflects who they are, not just what’s trending.
